Yin Yoga and Guided meditation | 5:30 pM - 7 pM

Opposed to the traditional "yang" or more active practice that works on big muscle groups and generating heat, "yin" classes work passively to open up the joints and connective tissue, re-sculpting our bodies. Poses are held longer and involve props.

Conscious Vinyasa | 9:30 AM - 11 AM

A "flow" class links breath to movement. As we move through various asana such as forward folds, backbends, and twists, this class will focus on strengthening our core and moving from that place of "center," that is, a place of clarity, balance, and integration.

Hatha I-II 11:30-12:45 Pm

This class is designed for Advanced Beginners who have completed at least two sessions of our Beginner Series offered on Sundays and thus have a good understanding of the basic yoga vocabulary and fair amount of body-awareness. It is also a lovely class for more advanced students who want to fine-tune their alignment using props in a slower-paced class-format.

This class builds strength and cardiovascular capacity by linking hatha yoga postures with flowing vinyasas. Sequences incorporate core stability, hip and shoulder opening and spinal flexibility with variations offered for all levels.

Six classes to learn the fundamental principles of yoga alignment and dynamics. $60 for six week session.

This class begins with more active yang poses to build strength, heat, and stamina and then moves into a half hour of yin and restorative poses, followed by a 15-20 minute savasana to soak it all up.

This class is geared to nourish overtaxed nervous systems and open up our subtle anatomy with the ample support of props. Yum-Yum.

60 minute classes $10.

Passes are usable for three months from date of purchase.

Fernwood classes are $10 for non-members; $8 for members.

Private Classes by appointment:

A single or series of private yoga classes will:

*help you build confidence in your approach to building a strong yoga practice

* address specific therapeutic issues related to injury or limitation

*tailor a practice to fit your needs

*develop or improve your home practice

*calm and soothe your nervous system

*remove stagnant and restless energy

After each class, upon request you're provided with a written summary for your home practice. Studio space is available in both Buchanan and Three Oaks.

Rates: $70/hour, $85/1.5 hour house session,

$300 for a series of five one-hour sessions.

Semi-privates (2-3 people) are $95/hour; $105/1.5 hour.
