The whole world is a cyclone. But once you have found the center, the cyclone disappears. This nothingness is the ultimate peak of consciousness

Kid Yoga Mondays 11:15-12:15pm!

YogaGlow welcomes special Guest Teacher Amber Cook from Moksha Yoga in Chicago over Labor Day Week-end Sept 4-6.

Amber believes her Yoga practice started long before her asana practice. At the age of twenty- one Amber began to study Eastern Religion and subsequently moved to Japan under the guidance of her teacher Dr. Sjouquist. While living in Japan Amber attempted meditating daily for a year.

Amber took her first yoga class at the Sivananda Yoga Center in the lovely Edgewater neighborhood of Chicago six years ago. After her third class she practically floated down the street and has been hooked ever since. While attending Columbia College Chicago as a Poetry major Amber took a Hatha Yoga course that introduced her to Sanskrit and a deeper knowledge of the poses. Shortly after she was introduced to Moksha Yoga Center through a fellow waitress who attended classes regularly. Her favorite asana is handstand, which she practices everyday, although she should be practicing double pigeon…everyday.

LINDA

I have been practicing yoga for ten years and have just completed the teacher training intensive at Yogaview in Chicago.  I also own and operate the local breakfast and lunch restaurant, blue plate cafe, in Union Pier.  Yoga is an integral aspect of my approach to life which centers on wellness, energy and spirituality for optimum mental and physical potential.  I love that teaching yoga gives me the opportunity to bring mind/body awareness and an overall sense of well being to fellow yogis.  In my class, you can expect lots of energetic movement, a focus on alignment and an emphasis on joy.
